Advantages
Before we dive into the technology, let's explore why polished concrete is the number one choice:
- Wear resistance and durability — the surface can withstand heavy pedestrian and vehicular traffic, and is resistant to abrasion and compression.
- Easy to maintain — the smooth, flat surface with no joints or crevices is easy to clean and safe to walk on.
- Environmental friendliness — non-toxicity, absence of volatile organic compounds, and high reflectivity.
- Operational savings — reduces lighting energy consumption by reflecting light, does not require flooring, and is durable, with a lifespan comparable to that of a building.
Where polished concrete is used
It is suitable for both heavily used rooms and those where design is important:
- industrial and logistics warehouses, car dealerships, and garages;
- shopping malls, restaurants, and exhibition pavilions;
- office spaces, lofts, and loft-style apartments;
- medical facilities, schools, and children's centers.
What is the polishing technology?
It includes several stages, each of which is important for quality:
- Preparing the base: inspect the concrete, measure its strength (preferably above 28 MPa or 4000 psi), and clean the surface of any dirt or irregularities.
- Rough grinding — remove the top layer and level the surface using diamond discs.
- Repairing defects — filling cracks and chips with an epoxy compound and preparing for subsequent polishing.
- Impregnation-sealer — we apply chemicals (lithium/potassium/sodium silicates) and seal the concrete structure to prevent dust formation.
- Final polishing — we polish, gradually changing the grit from 200→400→800→1600→3000+ grit with diamond wheels until we achieve the desired shine, matte or mirror finish.
- Finish protection — coatings (lithium impregnations) are applied to improve hydrophobicity, chemical resistance, and maintain shine.
We offer a full range of services
From project preparation to construction and commissioning:
- We have extensive experience with hundreds of properties, including warehouses, car dealerships, offices, and lofts.
- The expert team consists of engineers with at least 15 years of experience who are familiar with standards and technologies.
- Professional tools include diamond grinding machines and impregnations (LITSIL lithium impregnations, etc.).
- An individual approach — we will choose the perfect floor, taking into account everything: the degree of shine, color, decor, and additional options for your project.
- Quality control — polishing is carried out according to a strict cycle, from preparation to final shine.
