Advantages of epoxy coatings
Before moving on to the technology, it's important to understand the benefits:
- Increased durability — withstands intensive mechanical and static loads of up to 5 tons/m² or more.
- Chemical resistance — not destroyed by acids, alkalis, solvents, oils, and reagents.
- Dust-free and hygienic — the smooth, seamless, poreless surface prevents dirt buildup and makes sanitization easier.
- Wear resistance and durability ensure that the product maintains its performance even under heavy use.
- Decorative features include the ability to paint in any color, create matte and glossy effects, and add decorative fillers.
Where epoxy floors are used
- Pharmaceutical and chemical industries
- Food processing plants and plants
- Electronic industry
- Medical facilities, laboratories, clean rooms
- Warehouse and logistics centers
- Service stations, parking lots, and production facilities
Stages of the epoxy floor installation
- Preparing the base: grinding, dusting, and repairing cracks and defects.
- Priming: Applying an epoxy primer to enhance adhesion and strengthen the substrate.
- The main layer is an epoxy mixture with quartz filler, which may be reinforced or anti-slip additives.
- Finishing: a protective varnish or top layer with the desired properties (gloss, matte, UV resistance).
